Autism Treatments – Savants
There is a very special category that approximately ten per cent of persons who autistic fall into. These people, for want of a label, are called savants. The autism treatments of a savant would be more challenging, but also more rewarding. They have all of the same special needs as any other autistic child. These children are however, geniuses. They are given special gifts, which must be treated accordingly. If someone does not recognize that the child has this gift and provide appropriate outlets for the child, I fear the child might explode from so much talent. I would imagine it would take a genius to give autism treatments to a savant.
