Dysport vs. Botox

For the 3 people on Earth who still don’t know how Botox works…

Dysport (botulinum toxin type A) is an injectable treatment used to treat moderate to severe frown lines and crow’s feet.

The Dysport injection works by blocking signals from the nerves to the muscles, reducing the contractions of the muscles that cause frown lines. This results in the relaxing and softening of the wrinkles around the eyes and forehead. Results of the Dysport treatment can be seen within 3 to 7 days. In rare instances, some patients may experience headache or temporary eyelid drooping. These side effects resolve themselves within a week or so.

Common side effects following injection may include temporary bruising, tenderness, minor inflammation, and redness.
