If you suffer from sleep apnea, a pulse oximeter may be a smart purchase

A few months ago, I went to my doctor to see if I could get approved for weight loss surgery.  He sent me to have a sleep study done to see if I suffered from sleep apnea and sure enough, I had inconsistent breathing patterns during my sleep session.  I had never noticed any drowsiness or breathing problems while sleeping at home but I learned that it is very dangerous.  I have recently purchased an apnea mask and a fingertip pulse oximeter.  My Nonin GO2 meter is easy for my husband to use in the night when he wants to check my levels just to make sure I’m getting the right amount of oxygen.  I also use it when I’m exercising so that I don’t overdo my workouts.
