Competition is really good because it pushes and encourages people to do their best and be better than what they used to. It brings out the best in each one and in some case builds leadership, camaraderie and unity from its members. I believe competitions can be experienced almost everywhere. We compete among our siblings on who gets our parent’s attention and even in simple things like who gets the big part of the pizza mom brought after work. In school, we compete among our classmates on who will be the class president, who’ll represent the class for the declamation contest and who will be the top of the class. Even big companies and entities, banks and businesses compete among their selves. It could get rough and dirty sometimes but in the long run, there’ll be one who’ll benefit from it. Even the credit card agents who came to in to the bank where I work offered a very creative way to encourage us to apply for them.
